The River Festival

BDQ Beer Co: The iconic BDQ Beer Co will be at L’Oasis selling the new and bespoke Three Rivers Beer, which was kindly made for The River Festival. Each label is named after one of the three rivers that converge into Chalabre, and the label depicts a famous fishing fly for the area.

Crochet Workshop: If you’ve spent any time in Chalabre, you’ll have noticed the beautiful crochet adorning windows, doorways, shop fronts and tree branches. Every week, the nimble-fingered of the neighbourhood meet to create these fabulous patterns, with a mission to add some colour to the village. We are honoured to have them at the River Festival special. So, if you’ve never tried crocheting, but would like to, now’s your chance!

Mark Howie: You might already know Mark Howie. Master composter, lighting engineer and EWOP advocate are just some of the things he’s known for ! We are delighted to have Mark joining us in the as part of the afternoon workshops and stands, to discuss our relationship with water and steps we can take to make positive change. He’ll also be giving out samples of his natural fertiliser as a replacement for chemical alternatives. In 2008, Mark set up the first business in France to create compost toilets, and provides workshops to help others make and maintain their own. Mark is also the creator of the #EWOPChallenge, a philosophy that maintains ‘Everything’s Working Out Perfectly’. Everyone can imagine a sticky end for us all, the challenge is to write a positive story for the future. Come on down on Saturday to find out more…

Classic Cars: 1957 Peugeot 203 C, a 1951 Willis Jeep, a Renault R16 and a 2cv Citroen are just some of the classic cars that we’ll have on show on Saturday afternoon. You’ll have the chance to meet with the owners, take pictures and get to know a bit more about these beautiful vintage vehicles.

Barefoot Blues: A band that doesn’t need an introduction. We are honoured to have Bare Foot Blues playing from 6pm. Stick around for golden hour and apero for some old school acoustic blues !

Lunch with Arlette Kelly: The very talented (and all-round ray of sunshine) Arlette Kelly will be providing a light and refreshing lunch of Niçoise salad and fresh fruit, available to purchase on the day, from 12pm. Cost of lunch will be 10 euros per person via cash payment only.

Amanda & Pascal: Join us on an alchemical journey, tune into a musicality united by poetry, a communion that connects the vertical and the horizontal! Here is ding*dong an invitation to discover the Slam troubadour harp from La Passanda, a session to explore the thrills of resonances!

Di Crispin: Artist Di Crispin will be in attendance showcasing an exclusive collection of her works focusing on Fish.
