The Charm of Chalabre
“Team-bonding” is a term which makes me squirm in my chair. It conjures up an anticipation of unwanted icebreakers, oversharing, and forced fun. Luckily instead, at Zambuni, our team has ‘bonded’ in a way that has felt entirely natural, unique, and essential to the way we work…
Promoting Game with a Modern Approach
Great British Game Week (7th-13th November) is an annual, week-long promotion and celebration of all things game. Promoted by British Game Assurance’s (BGA) Eat Wild campaign, it’s about introducing new people to the wonderful world of wild game and highlighting the sustainability and versatility that local British game meat has to offer. This year, we worked collaboratively with BGA to achieve exactly this; to expand their audience, take a modern approach, and reach out far and wide to introduce people to game.
“Treating Nature Like a Toilet” - COP15
As COP15, the UN Biodiversity conference opens in Montreal, Canada, the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres warned that humanity was ‘treating nature like a toilet’ and that the degradation of the ecosystem would cost the world $3tn annually by 2030, that is, of course, if we’re alive to experience it.
Wracked by Rackspace
I don’t remember a time when we have had so many unforeseen occurrences challenging the status quo we took for granted for so long. Looking back now, I realised just how privileged my generation was. We certainly didn’t acknowledge it at the time. Why would we? That was just the way things were.

Natural Resources Wales Accept Publicly for the First Time that Poultry Industry is Damaging River Wye
“This is scandalous!” In a report uncovered on Friday 25 November by a Fish Legal lawyer, but not publicised or shared by NRW with Fish Legal or the local rivers trust, NRW contradicts previous denials that any link between poultry units and environmental damage had been established…
Stepping out of my comfort zone into French communication
“The passion I have for my role here at Zambuni means that although I have plenty of daily challenges and have learnt so much in the last 5 years (often learning the hard way!), there is little that I can’t find a solution for or a positive way through. However, over the last year, an unexpected challenge arose…”
Another Herefordshire River Suffers Bankside Damage by Landowner
In August this year, anglers witnessed and reported trees and bankside vegetation being removed by heavy machinery over hundreds of metres of the River Teme, a river that flows through North Herefordshire for part of its length.

A Dedication to Rivers
Rivers are integral to the work we do. From fighting river pollution with Fish Legal to supporting wild fish conservation with the Missing Salmon Alliance, to bringing anglers and the fishing community together with Orvis to ideating our very own River Festival, and more, it is safe to say that rivers are central to the Zambuni system…

Taking Action in a Time of Crisis for Salmon
We at Zambuni are proud to support the work of the Missing Salmon Alliance. We do this by highlighting, conveying, and therefore raising awareness of the plight of salmon - a species in crisis - that so many people do not yet understand. It’s about creating a strong narrative that sits in public discourse. Here are just a few examples of the recent opportunities we have secured as a means to achieving this…
