Louisa Clutterbuck takes the reins as CEO of British Game Assurance

British Game Assurance (BGA) has announced that Louisa Clutterbuck will take on the position of Chief Executive, following the news that Liam Stokes is standing down as CEO, after three years at the helm.

In his leaving statement, Liam Stokes said: “The only answer is independent assurance, delivered by an accredited certification body, and that is what we have been working to deliver during my time in charge of BGA. I am proud of what we have achieved, I am proud of the BGA logo in supermarkets, I am proud MPs and Peers have saluted our work in both Houses of Parliament, I am proud we got game into the NHS.”

He continued, “But moreover, I am proud that this work will continue, in the creative, dedicated hands of Louisa Clutterbuck. Louisa has given more years and more effort and enthusiasm to BGA than anyone. She will safeguard the work of both assurance and the promotion of game, to protect the future of shooting. I bid farewell to the fantastic supporters of BGA and express my sincerest gratitude. After three years running this vital organization, I am moving on and leaving the future in the hands of passionate and dedicated people. I ask you to give Louisa the same support you have given me. It has been a pleasure working for you.”

Louisa has been a key member of the BGA team since its inception in 2018. Her work across the assurance scheme, marketing of wild game and running of the business has been intrinsic to its success to date.

In taking on the position, Louisa Clutterbuck, new CEO of BGA said: “Having been part of the operational and strategic team at BGA for nearly five years and working to market game to new audiences through our public facing campaign, EatWild, I see my new role as an amazing opportunity to grow that audience and instill in even more people a love of British Game. BGA has grown game sales year on year since the very beginning, and I am so looking forward to continuing working closely with every part of the sector to make game a staple part of every household’s weekly menu.”
